Asta-s eu, mereu in cautare de alternative (mai) sanatoase; nu reusesc mereu, nu gasesc alternative la orice (de fapt sunt multe cele la care nu gasesc alternative), dar cu biscuitii mi-am pus ambitia. De cand a aparut Veronica in familia noastra, mi-am propus sa le dau copiilor numai biscuiti facuti de mine, fara zahar adaugat si cu faina integrala (si bio). Si am reusit!

Mi-am tot batut capul, o gramada de vreme cum as putea sa indulcesc biscuitii fara sa folosesc zahar. O vreme am folosit piure de fructe, in reteta Veronicai de bebelus, pe vremea cand inca nu avea voie unt. Apoi mi-a venit ideea cu fructele uscate si maruntite. Si intr-o zi mi-a picat fisa: magiun de prune 100% natural. Topoloveni, in cele mai multe cazuri!

Reteta e simpla (pentru appx. 25 de bucati):

100g de unt moale

150 g faina integrala (sau 100g de faina integrala cu 50 g de faina de migdale)

1 ou

3 linguri de magiun (sau dupa gust)

un pumn de merisoare uscate si maruntite

optional nuci maruntite (eu nu pus)

 

Metoda:

1. Se freaca untul cu mixerul pana devine cremos

2. Se adauga, pe rand oul, faina, magiunul si merisoarele maruntite

3. Se formeaza bile cat o nuca care se aplatizeaza cu mana si se ordoneaza in tava (daca nu se poate lucra cu aluatul, daca e prea lipicios, se lasa 15 min la frigider)

4. Se coc 12-15 min la 200 de grade Celsius.

Healthy biscuits for beautiful children

 

That’s me, always looking for a healthy(er) alternative. I sometimes fail, I can not find alternatives for everything (actually there are many those food items that I find no alternative for) but with biscuits I got really stubborn. Since Veronica came in our family, I vowed to give my children only biscuits made by myself, ​​without added sugar and made with wholewheat flour. And I did it!

I’ve been particularly concerned with how to sweeten cookies without using sugar. For a while I used fruit puree in the recipes when Veronica was an infant, back when she was still not allowed to eat butter. Then I came up with dried fruits . And one day it hit me: 100% natural plum jam/ marmalade. Topoloveni (a local, 100% natural brand), in most cases!

The recipe is simple (for appx. 25 cookies):

100g soft butter

150 g whole wheat flour (or 100g wholemeal flour and 50 g almond flour)

1 egg

Plum jam/ marmalade – 3 tablespoons (depends on personal preference)

a handful of dried cranberries, finely chopped

optionally, chopped nuts (I have not used them yet)

 

Method:

1. Mix butter  until creamy

2. Add one by one the egg, the flour, the jam and chopped cranberries

3. Form walnut-size balls and flatten them with your hand, lining them in the tray (if you cannot work the dough for being too sticky, leave it in the refrigerator for 30 mins)

4. Bake 12-15 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.
